Coastal-home glass salt is softened first with warm DI water + bicarbonate, then wiped with microfiber. No acids — they bond minerals harder to glass.

Same-day both sides; otherwise streak-side identification is hard. Pros track streaks via reflection.

Hydrophobic Coating (Optional)
Final step is a silicon-dioxide-based water-repellent. Rain droplets bead off, salt accumulation slows by 3-4 months.

Cleaning glass with newspaper
Old-school. Modern coated glass picks up ink residue and the UV protective film gets damaged.
Vinegar + dish soap mix
Foam dries on glass and leaves a matte film. Plain DI water + a tiny drop of dish soap is enough.
Cleaning glass in direct sun
Hot glass evaporates the cleaner fast and leaves mineral residue. Clean in shade — early morning or late afternoon.
Not rinsing the squeegee rubber
Touching the new rubber once with oily fingers leaves streaks. Rinse with DI water first.

Seasonal advice
On the Mersin coast, glass should be cleaned every 6-8 weeks in season; in winter, every 10-12 weeks depending on rain frequency. Anti-deposit coating applied in early spring (March) lasts the whole summer.

How safe is high-floor work?
Up to 8 floors we work from the ground with a water-fed pole — no scaffolding needed. Above that, IRATA-certified rope access with secondary safety line. The whole team is insured.
Salt stains won't come off — can you remove them?
Yes. Coastal-home glass salt buildup doesn't yield to standard wiping; we use a bicarbonate + DI water protocol. For severe cases we recommend the anti-deposit coating.
How long does the hydrophobic coating last?
3-6 months depending on brand and surface; on the coast, 3-4 months is realistic. Two yearly applications recommended.
Are insect screens included?
Yes — removal, washing, and refit are part of the standard package. If we spot damage, we share a photo report.
Storefront contracts?
Weekly or bi-weekly recurring packages for shops, restaurants, and offices. One-off or pre-campaign express polishing is also available.
