Came home from holiday to a place that sparkled like crystal. Polite, careful, and now indispensable.
Post-Construction Cleaning
We turn your new space into a move-in ready home.
Post-construction cleaning is a separate technical discipline. The leftover dust contains glass, cement, plaster, wood, and metal particles — bad for breathing, abrasive to electronics, clogs HVAC. Professional teams work in three phases: rough → detail → final. Kristal Cleaning has delivered 200+ post-construction projects in the Mersin region, all handed over move-in ready.

Our methodology
The details that separate professional cleaning from amateur work.
- 01
Phase 1 · Rough Cleaning
Removal of large debris, packaging, protective film, and stickers. HEPA-filter industrial vacuums extract fine dust. Skipping this phase doubles detail-cleaning time.
- 02
Phase 2 · Detail Cleaning
Plaster, paint, silicone, and grout residue removed with the right spatulas and surface-specific solvents. Glass, profiles, sills, and tile grout — handled one by one.
- 03
Phase 3 · Final Walkthrough
All surfaces disinfected; bath/kitchen fixtures polished; floors waxed (optional). Walkthrough with the client — handover move-in ready.
- 04
Fine Dust Management
Construction dust hangs in the air for days. Negative pressure + HEPA air purifier extracts it in 24-48 hours; we include this in the process.
- 05
Contractor Coordination
When working in parallel with the contractor, architect, or electrician, we run "transition cleans" between phases. This cuts the final cleanup volume by 30%.
Equipment & products
The right outcome starts with the right equipment.
HEPA Industrial Vacuum (Class M)
Captures particles down to 0.3 microns — required against silicosis. Standard vacuums recirculate dust through the motor exhaust.
Silicone & Plaster Spatulas
Professional plastic and nylon spatulas remove silicone, mortar, and plaster without damaging the surface. Metal scrapers scratch glass, chrome, and marble.
Grout-opening tools
pH-balanced cleaners and soft brushes for cement splashes on tile grout. Wrong acid level destroys the grout.
Multi-surface solvent set
Six different solvents matched to surface type — water-based vs. solvent-based paint drops, sticker adhesive, silicone, sealant. Wrong solvent ruins the surface.
Glass polish & protective coating
Final polish and hydrophobic coating for glass, stainless steel, and granite. Restores factory-finish brightness.
Common DIY mistakes
The most frequent mistakes we see — so you avoid them.
Wiping cement residue with water
Cement reacts with water and bonds harder. Dry-scrape first, then a pH-balanced cleaner — that's the right order.
Standard vacuum on construction dust
Fine dust passes through a standard filter and exits through the motor. Without HEPA, you're spreading the dust.
Thinner on paint splatters
Thinner leaves permanent stains on floor varnish, plastic, and laminate. Test on a hidden area first.
Knife on sticker adhesive
Permanent scratches on glass, chrome, and laminate. Heat (hairdryer) + a surface-appropriate solvent is the correct method.
Detailed checklist
What we apply in every room, on every visit.
General
- Construction debris, film, packaging removal
- HEPA fine dust extraction from all surfaces
- Ceiling, walls, door frames
- Outlets, switches, fuse box
- AC and ventilation grilles
- Stairwell / common-area dusting
Kitchen & Bathroom
- Tile-surface plaster and mortar cleaning
- Grout opening + anti-mold treatment
- Sink, tap, showerhead polish
- Toilet, tub, shower cabinet — final clean
- Kitchen cabinet interiors — dust + wipe
Glass & Profiles
- Inside and outside glass (stickers, paint, silicone)
- Window profile and sills
- Insect screens — wash + replace
- Mirrors — streak-free
Floors & Final
- Hardwood/laminate: dry sweep + damp mop
- Ceramic/granite: scrub + polish
- Carpet (if any): deep wash
- Optional final polish + coating
- Walkthrough with client and sign-off
The ideal window for post-construction cleaning is 24-72 hours after the work ends. After that, dust binds to surfaces and gets harder to remove. In winter, cleaning before the heating system runs prevents dust from circulating through radiators/AC.
